We acquired this ‘78 corvette after it had sat unused in a garage for the better part of the last two decades. The previous owner had ambitious plans for the car, but decided to sell upon realizing the cost of a quality restoration. We got the car in running and driving order, gave the interior a deep-cleaning, and are now listing it for sale. As it sits, this car would make for a good driver that could be slowly turned into a very nice example. This is a true l82 numbers matching car. Exterior: two-tone 25th anniversary paint scheme gives the car a sharp look (13l). Paint is fair – it has a good shine but isn't without its share of nicks. Most significant areas to be aware of include some flaking at the top of the driver door, as well as some cracking in the paint on the car’s nose panel. The car presents well but does show some age upon closer inspection; the car is a true “10-footer”. While maybe not a phenomenally clean example, the car does show quite well. . The car’s flared-out lines give it a muscular appearance, and the l-82 and 25th anniversary badges hint at the fact that this isn’t just any old base-model corvette. The t-top is very ‘70s-cool. Alloy wheels are in great shape with the exception of a ding on the passenger rear rim; there is no curb rash on any of the wheels. Bf goodrich radial t/as have about 60% tread remaining and no dry rot. Glass is clear and crack-free. Interior: we gave the interior a thorough cleaning, as the light-gray “oyster” interior dirties all too easily. Seats are comfortable and free of tears. Driver’s seat angle adjustment is broken so we’ve propped it up into a comfortable driving position. Carpeting is darkening slightly, though covered up by the corvette-branded floormats. This special edition car was spec’d out with a number of options; the car has power windows, a/c (r134a though not functioning), cruise control, tilt-telescopic steering wheel, and dual rear speakers. Head unit is functional, speakers are not. Under the hood / underbody: the car retains its numbers-matching 220hp 350cid l-82 v8. Odometer indicates 17,036 miles; we cannot be sure if the car has seen 117k or just 17k. The car fires right up and drives; though, as should any car that has been sitting for the better part of two decades, should be gone-through prior to becoming a routine driver. Expect to do a brake service upon taking delivery of the car. While we do note a slow trans leak, there is no rust of any concern; please take a look through the underbody photos, as the underbody is documented in detail. Rockers and floors are excellent. Overall, this is a cool, well-spec’d out special edition corvette that can be enjoyed as-is or serve as an excellent starting point for a drive-and-tinker project. She bought it brand new in jersey where it spend all of its time ,besides the last five years (in my garage). Engine and tranny overhaul few yearsback (less than 10k since rebuild) it was done at conti corvettes in jersey. This is pretty much all original car down to the 8 track , car was repainteddon't know when it was done ,it has a nice shine to it , but not perfectthere is a couple small scratches and nicks nothing big ,tires are like new,newer mufflers, newer front calibers . Good brakes , headlights work as theyshould ,vacuum hoses all in great shape i thing they were replaced . Great car tocruise around as is or to restore. Thanks and happy bidding . This car is solid ride veryclean under body , it has a new batt. And inside carpet is also newer . The ac,the compressor is newer other than that i never did anything to it ( don'tblown cold ) , all gauges work included the clock, the power antenna don'tgo up or down gott do it by hand. One more thing the rear spring was changewith a composite which makes the ride better than the regular springs . The carcame with okole water proof sport seat covers under are the original leatherseat's i never took the cover's off , but i put my hands between and idin't feel any rips . Air Conditioning

I am selling this for a friend. I did all the work for him and can answer thequestions for him. Since the car was restored the carmay have 500 miles on it. When we got done with it he was scared to drive itbecause it did turn out so nice. The car is believed to be a black knight dealerclone! At the dealership they took el camino ss and put black knight decals onthem to stimulate sales. During therestoration the car did not have the original 350 put back in it. Bill opted fora ho 305. This car is not sluggish and is very respectable. All the way down to it's seat belt levers located in the doors,and yes they work! The car does have a little beefier stance than stock. Billwanted it this way. I agree it does look nice and handles well. New interiorpieces where installed with some reconditioned parts. Great attention was givento the spare tire area with insulation and a light installed to help with sounddamping and to see at night. The brakes and wiring harness was all restoredcorrectly and back to 1978 standards. As with all el caminos the bed was a hugeburden as it was used. I decide to line-x the box and i am very glad we did so.
