This very long, very red, very shiny Lincoln Capri convertible with continentalkit was in a famous museum collection in Georgia for the last 14 years. Someyears ago the car got a very good paint job, front and rear seats reupholsteredand a new white top. I got it as a running car, but all the usual things wereneeded to get it back into reliable driving condition. The gas tank was cleanedout, the carburetor replaced, brakes repaired, starter rebuilt, power brake unitreplaced, radiator repaired, transmission leak fixed, new plugs, plug wires,points, rotor, distributor, fluids changed, and 4 new wide whitewall tiresadded. I added dual 6v Optima batteries for more cranking power - the batterybox is behind the carpet in the passenger's footwell, and two Optimas fitperfectly. I can't take credit for that idea, but I'm glad I could doit. An auxiliary temperature gauge was also added. The car comes with originalcopies of the shop manual and the shop supplement manual. Now it drives verynicely, runs great, it's quiet and doesn't smoke. Very smooth on thehighway, and very little wind noise at 65mph with the top down. The car haspower steering and power brakes in addition to the 4 speed automatic, powerseats and power top. There is no rust or rust repair, the sheet metal is smoothand a very well-done repaint shines brightly. The power top also works well. Every time we go somewhere, people gather around to admire it. The moldings on the side of the car are straight and shiny. Has very rich black german cloth convertible boot and convertible top. New cloth wrapped weatherstrips on convertible. The upholstery is completely redone including door panels. Repainted interior metal. The dash conteols, instruments etc are exceptionally nice. Seat belts have been added. Motor compartment is clean. The motor runs smooth and the car drives effortlessly. Upgraded to 12 volt system and a big holley carb. This car would be a pleasure to cruise and i bet on a sunny day it glistens!
