The diablo vt roadster was introduced in december 1995 and features a carbon fiber targa top which was stored above the engine lid when not in use. Besides the roof, the roadsters body was altered from the fixed-top vt model in a number of ways. The front bumper was revised, replacing the quad rectangular driving lamps with two rectangular and two round units. The vt roadster remains one of the most sought after models of the diablo collection. The engine lid was changed substantially in order to vent properly when the roof panel was covering it. The roadster also featured revised 17 inch wheels. The air intakes on top/sides were made larger than the coupe diablos. In 1998 the wheels have been updated to 18 inches, and the engine power raised to 530 hp by adding the variable valve timing system. Top speed specification was raised to 335 km/h (208 mph). This particular diablo, one of only 325 ever produced, is in showroom condition.

It has the classic diablo look but dressed up far better then the previous diablos. From the factory they came with all the exposed carbon fiber exterior and interior that give this diablo a look that no other car had ever previously had! This was one of the first cars to use exposed carbon fiber for the unique and amazing look that it has. The entire body of the car is also made of carbon fiber to keep weight down, with the exception of the doors and roof (made of steel) for rigidity and safety. On top of the unique look of the 6. 0, it was also the first time they had increased the size of the v12 from 5. 7 to 6. 0, also increasing hp from 529 to 550. There were only about 100 units brought here to the us, making it a very rare vehicle. It was also the first car to come out of the factory after audi had taken over, making it the most reliable diablo ever made as well. The technology and overall design was far superior to the previous generation diablos, with the influence of audi. This is truly the last of the raw and timeless lamborghini designs, prior to the more refined and curvy murcielago came out in 2002. The 6. 0 is already being viewed as a collectible vehicle that will only increase in value over time, but in my opinion is the best all around driving sports car of all time! The car had previous damage on the left side door area, this happened in 1999 when the car had 5000 miles and was issued a salvage title. However when I bought the car I was given title with no branding and I have a clean Illinois title to my name
