Very desirable factory red over red. #s match. Stripped to bare metal and repainted 25 years ago. Body is straight and clean. Still has a glass smooth finish. Very nice original chrome. Interior was restored with new genuine leather upholstery, new door panels. Dash area is original and in very good condition. The motor has been serviced and maintained, runs smoothly. Carbs were rebuilt, air conditioning has been serviced, all 4 mufflers are stainless. Convertible top is black german cloth. Optional hardtop is painted black. With the D-Type as a starting point, the E-Type sported a similar semi-monocoque chassis that used a sheet steel tub for the passenger compartment, paired with tubular steel subframes which supported engine and independent front suspension. The innovative and advanced D-Type had won LeMans three times on the fly, thanks to its advanced aerodynamics, powerful disc brakes and the lightweight and robust monocoque chassis.
