This is the 2nd Generation of Ford Ranchero's and 64'-65' arevery rare years as this was the only two years of this particular body style. Itwas a shared platform with the also rare Ford Falcon. In fact most parts arefound by using the name Falcon Ranchero. After this each new generation ofRanchero's got larger and larger, sharing platforms with Ford's largercars. Many collectors prefer these smaller bodied Ranchero's especially the64'-65's. 1965 was also the first year Ford switched to an Alternatorfrom a Generator system. 1965 also marked the first year Ford switched from a260 V8 to the 289-V8. This car has been restored to be better than original inmany ways. Avery stunning combination! It also has custom plush new upholstery which is muchmore comfortable and inviting than the original vinyl. The pickup bed was alsosprayed with a line type material to make it useful and more durable. It wasalso upgraded substantially with a custom built, H.
