See ebay or hemmings for full description. . 1977 cadillac sedan deville only 34,818 miles! Evolve motors & chicago car club are pleased to present this 1977 cadillac sedan deville! 1977 marked the 75th anniversary of cadillac, and also marked the first year of the fifth-generation, "downsized" deville coupes and sedans. While still quite a large car, at 221 inches long and over 4000lbs, the 77 sedan deville was nine inches shorter, 4 inches narrower, and 1,000lbs lighter than the 76 car that preceded it. This 77 example is an extremely well-preserved example of what is arguably cadillac's most iconic model, the sedan deville. Even with a hulking 7. 0l v8, this car is all about comfort; this car comes from a time when the cadillac name was synonymous with top-level luxury. This car can really only be described as a dream boat, it floats down the road in smooth, effortless silence. The condition of the car is extremely impressive inside, out, and underneath; it has certainly been babied since being delivered new to oregon on new years eve of 1976. Car will be sold with all original manuals and booklets. We purchased the car out of wisconsin, where it had been for the last twenty years. Exterior: first off, paint. Sovereign gold metallic is a color that only a 70s deville could pull of so well. Paint is excellent, with only minor blemishes. Blemishes include some touched-up chips and small scratches on the lower driver rear quarter and rear door, as well as some chipping on the forward-most portion of the driver's side rear wheel skirt. Paint is confirmed original throughout, with an elcometer showing readings of 2. 0-3. 0 on every panel. The clear coat is not peeling or showing it's age, the paint finish is very impressive considering it's now 40 years old. Chrome is excellent throughout, and really completes the look of this big sedan. There is no oxidation or damage on the chrome at all; it shines nice and bright with a mirror-like finish everywhere - bumpers, door handles, trim, etc. Top is in excellent condition, with no scratches, scrapes, or damage. All doors close without any fuss. Trunk has an electronic soft-close feature and is functional. Glass and light lenses are all clear and crack-free throughout. Wheels are excellent, with no damage or curb rash. We often see rust bubbles forming under the rocker trim on these cars, this car is not bubbling, lower corners and door jambs are all in good shape. Interior: the interior is in fantastic shape, a true time capsule. Light buckskin cloth seats show minimal wear both front and rear. There is no fraying, tears, discoloring, or scuffs. Wood on door panels and dash presents as-new, with no fading or peeling. Powered systems are all functional, including windows, am/fm radio, heat, defrost, power antennae, all interior lights, clock, all gauges, wipers, cruise control, and power locks. Air conditioning compressor kicks on, but does not blow cold. Carpets are stain and tear free both front and rear and the car will also come with the original cadillac floormats. Headliner is nice and tight. Dash is excellent, no cracks or damage. Odometer is functional and reads 34,818 miles, which is accurate. Under the hood / underbody: this sedan deville retains its original 425cid 7. 0l v8 and 3-speed th-400 automatic transmission. The car runs and drives extremely well. It starts right up immediately, idles cool and. Power Locks✔ AM/FM✔ Cruise Control✔ Air Conditioning

The car has no tendencies or noises of concern; it eats up speedbumps and potholes quietly and smoothly. With the windows up this car is very quiet, it does an excellent job of muffling road and engine noise. Underneath, the car is in phenomenal shape. Absolutely no through rust to be found. Frame rails and rockers are nice and solid. Overall, this ‘77 sedan deville is a well-preserved garage-queen that, with it’s original gold metallic paint, is a real time-capsule back to 1977. 1977 cadillac deville - chicago, ilevolve motorschicago, il 60618ph: 7732672684web: www. Back when this car was new, the exclusive d’elegance luxury option cost just shy of $700; adjusted for inflation, that’s a nearly $2900 option! And that’s just the interior; d’elegance exterior features included opera lamps, pin-striping, color-keyed side moulding, and a smattering of d’elegance badging. The d’elegance package began as a special offering for the fleetwood series sixty-special brougham for the 1973 model year, then became available for the deville series beginning in 1974. These d’elegance package cars were lavishly equipped for their time and were widely viewed as the ultimate in american luxury motoring. Considering the state of it’s original saffron metallic paint and the absence of dents or dings, the car has been well taken care of throughout those 40 years. Exterior: first off, paint. Paint has a great metallic sparkle to it under direct light. The paint shows very well, with minimal chips and no scratches or scuffs. White pinstripes are without cracking or wear, and contrast very well against the metallic brown paint. Chrome is very nice throughout, with no damage other than some surface rust at the bottom corners of the rear chrome bumper. Aside from those lower corners, chrome is free of any bubbling, and shines nice and bright. Vinyl top is in nice shape as well, with very few signs of age. The top has no scrapes or damage. Panel fitment is dead-on and the doors close without any fuss. From an exterior cosmetic standpoint, the only drawback of note is the mismatched rear plastic sills; these plastic pieces are not original and show a slightly darker shade of saffron metallic. Interior: saffron, saffron, saffron. The eye-catching exterior color carries over into the exterior. Seats, carpet, dash, and accents are all matched to the same warm shade of orange. Dash has a couple light cracks, and the steering wheel shows some wear – the plastic is cracking on multiple spots on the wheel. Factory floormats are in nice shape, as is the carpet underneath. Front center carpeting shows some aging in the brightness of the saffron fading away, though free of stains or tears. Headliner is tight, backseat shows no wear. Air conditioning is not cold, though the remainder of the powered systems are intact and functional. This includes power locks, am/fm radio, heat/defrosters, all gauges, powered windows, powered trunk close, wipers and sprayers, and interior lights. The car is also equipped with cruise control, though i have not yet had the opportunity to test its functionality (limited by city traffic). Under the hood / underbody: this deville d’elegance coupe retains its original 425cid 7. 0l v8, which was the largest of five available engine options. With just shy of 60,000 miles on the car, it still has plenty of life left in it. The car runs and drives very well, with no noises or tendencies of concern. Starts right up, idles cool and steady, and tracks nice and straight down the road. Brakes feel good and track straight. Underneath, the car is in decent shape, though the car is not 100% rust free. Floor pans and rockers are solid, but there is one through spot towards the rear of the drivers side frame rail. Close-up photo attached. Power Locks✔ AM/FM✔ Cruise Control✔ Air Conditioning
