Since the car left the factory all those years ago it has only covered 22,426 miles which is absolutely incredible. The front end was restyled in 1979. It also marked the 10th anniversary of the trans am, and a special anniversary package was made available: silver paint with gray upper paint accents and a silver leather interior. The 10th anniversary cars also featured a special firebird hood decal, which extended off the hood and onto the front fenders. Pontiac produced 7,500 10th anniversary cars. This car is really well equipped and in very original condition. There is extensive documentation available with this car to help the purchaser feel comfortable with their investment. One of only 1,817 manufactured with the t-10 4-speed manual transmission, this one may be the nicest around. A full rotisserie restoration was completed with documentation on all purchases from summit racing throughout the process, as well the original factory order sheet and ownerã¢?? No corners were cut on this restoration, as the costs to restore exceeded the $120,000 mark. The 400 cid v8 and t-10 manual transmission were rebuilt with the utmost care and function like new. The gray leather interior looks like new, as does the rest of the interior. The alpine radio was installed tastefully in the dash and allows the driver to have total freedom of choice when it comes to their driving soundtrack. The vehicle is also equipped with air conditioning, t-tops, power brakes and steering, power locks, power windows, tilt wheel, radial tires, and aluminum/alloy wheels. When buying a collector car documentation is king, and there is a myriad of documents verifying the history and life of this trans am. In addition to original factory documentation, the vehicle also comes with a dyno sheet to prove just how much power the engine is turning out (366 horsepower @ 5000 rpm).
